If an UFO landed and aliens stepped out of it offerring to take me with them into space, I would have to refuse their offer. Not because I do not wish to leave Earth, I do, and not because I have any important responsibilities that I have to keep track of, but rather because then I would be leaving Earth prematurely and my sentence may be extended. Although living among humans is quite ghastly, the chance that I might have to spend a thousand years in addition to my current sentence seems unbearable. So, although I would LIKE to break my exile and leave this planet for a short vacation, I feel that the consequences of this action is not worth it.
It seems surprizing to me that any living creature in the universe that was not as ignorant as the humans would approach me in this manner, because of the crimes that I committed. THus, the “aliens” that offerred me the temporary relief from this… torture… were probably working for the courts to see if I WOULD leave before my sentence was up.
